pause the sim

check that date and time are set correctly
save the flight and call it Varsity

Create a model set for varsity to include some of your military textures and also the flight replicas aircraft
Check that you can join the server.

Join the server on 20th March no later than 18:40z. Make sure that your engines are running, brakes on and all lights off.

Back up your aircraft.cfg and then substitute your [lights[ section with the following:

Once in the air try to get your flight leader rendered as the FR Ai c47 USAAF no stripes formation

Follow the flight plan and listen for instructions from your flight leader.

At Waypoint 'YS' pause and save your flight as 'V1' for the Tuesday session

Do not switch any lights on other than cabin or panel lights. i.e. NO landing / Beacon or Navigation lights

Contact me via email with any queries related to installation, Swift or mission parameters.

Large segments of this event will be recorded, both video and comms, so please keep chat to a minimum and relevant to the mission. There will be zero opportunity to help if you have display, fps or control issues so no point in raising them. Just do the best you can with no fuss. The videos that are created will be merged together and be sent to veterans and their relatives so that they have a greater appreciation of what it was like flying the aircraft to hell and back.

If you can, fly the mission in advance to get an idea of the route and the NDB's etc.. It will also be a good test to ensure that you see the flak and tracer fire.

Change the sound settings in your sim so that the cockpit and environment are at least at 90%.

I reccomend turning autogen down slightly and makig cloud draw distance 60 miles.
Also, turn off all Ai traffic, road traffic and ships etc. to ensure your sim focusses on your aircraft, the effects and the ground terrain.

I hope you enjoy the event.
